You can offer your fans two types of memberships: monthly recurring memberships and per-creation memberships. These options provide flexibility to suit your content and audience, helping you maximize your earning potential.
Prerequisites for offering memberships
Before you can start offering memberships, ensure you have created a Stripe account in your settings.
Monthly recurring membership
The Monthly recurring membership charges fans a fixed fee every month for access to your exclusive content.
How it works
Fans are billed monthly based on their subscription date.
For example, if a fan subscribes on February 15th, they will pay for one month of access on that day. The next billing date will be March 1st, covering the month of March, and so on, unless they cancel their subscription.
Per-creation membership
The per-creation membership allows you to charge fans for individual pieces of content, giving you control over what to monetize.
How it works
When creating a post, you can choose the “Charge this post” option to bill fans who are subscribed to a per-creation membership.
Fans are charged only for posts you choose to monetize.
Initial charge for new subscribers
To prevent fans from accessing your content for free, they are charged an initial fee equivalent to the price of one monetized post upon subscribing.
For example, if your per-creation price is $5, a fan will pay $5 immediately when they subscribe.
Setting limits
Fans have the option to set a monthly spending limit, so they only pay for a set number of monetized posts.
